SCSC Dyslexia Data
SY 2021-2022
During school year 2019-2020 all Indiana schools were closed by Governor Holcomb due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to school closures, SCSC’s Dyslexia screening data is incomplete. SCSC provided virtual learning from March 23rd through May 7th.
In accordance with requirements of Indiana SEA 217, each school corporation shall annually report the following information prior to July 15 each year. The information below is for Seymour Community Schools:

Due to COVID 19, interventions were suspended until the 20-21 SY.
Total number of students identified with dyslexia during the school year:
SCSC identified a total of 71 students with characteristics of dyslexia.
SCSC will continue to monitor and track data. The data will be made available on the corporation website and school’s reading plan each year. Each academic year, SCSC will continue to report the intervention program(s) used, number of students who received dyslexia intervention(s), and total number of students identified with dyslexia during the school year.
